Rajasthan News: Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot on Thursday said about the alleged neglect of Vasundhara Raje in BJP that the former Chief Minister should not be punished because of her. Talking to reporters at the Congress headquarters here, he also said that if Vasundhara gets punished because of him, it will be injustice to the BJP leader.
When Gehlot was asked what he had to say on the neglect of Vasundhara in BJP, he said, “This is an internal matter of his party.” I would like to say that he should not be punished because of me. This would be injustice to them.” Referring to the political incident of the 1990s, the senior Congress leader said that the then CM Bhairo Singh Shekhawat had gone to America for treatment and at that time the people of BJP wanted to topple his government, but As president of the State Congress Committee, he had opposed it.
CM Gehlot said this on Kailash Meghwal
CM Gehlot said that Kailash Meghwal, once a veteran BJP leader, knew this and when his government faced crisis in 2020, he said that there is no tradition of toppling the government in Rajasthan. Gehlot said that Vasundhara’s supporting MLAs had told that the former CM’s sentiments were also like that of Meghwal. He said, “I accidentally said that Meghwal and Vasundhara ji had the same opinion.”
