Orange alert has been issued by Meteorological Center Shimla regarding heavy rain on 15 and 16 October. There is a possibility of drop in temperature after rain and snowfall in the state. Due to falling temperature, cold season will start in the state. However, the minimum and maximum temperatures in the state are still above normal.
According to the information received from Meteorological Center Shimla, the lowest temperature in the state was recorded in Kukumseri in Lahaul-Spiti district on Saturday. The minimum temperature recorded here is 2.2 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the minimum temperature in the capital Shimla has been recorded at 13.3 degrees Celsius. Sundernagar 12.6 degrees Celsius, Bhuntar 12.2 degrees Celsius, Kalpa 5.8 degrees Celsius, Dharamshala 16.2 degrees Celsius, Una 16.8 degrees Celsius, Nahan 19.4 degrees Celsius, Palampur 13.0 degrees Celsius, Keylong 4.1 degrees Celsius, Palampur 13.0 degrees. Celsius, Solan recorded 10.7 degrees Celsius.
On Saturday, while it was sunny during the day in other areas of the state including the capital Shimla, it remained cloudy in the evening. There is a period of cold winds remaining in Shimla.
