If the Parliament session is going on, then they are given daily allowance to participate in it. Apart from this, these MPs are also given Constituency Allowance every month, which is Rs 45,000.

Not only this, many other facilities and allowances are given to these MPs. For example, traveling allowance is given for coming from one’s constituency to attend the session of Parliament. Under this, if the MP travels by train, then he is given AC Pass in executive class i.e. first class category. Whereas if these MPs travel by air, they are paid one-fourth of the air fare of any airline and if they travel by road by their own vehicles, they are paid Rs 16 per kilometre. Let us tell you here that a total of 34 single air travel facilities are given to every Member of Parliament along with his/her family every year.

The list of facilities and allowances provided to MPs does not end here. They also get separate money for pension, stationery, office expenses and insurance. Talking about office expenses, MPs are given Rs 45,000 per month for this. In this, an amount of Rs 15,000 is included for stationery and postal expenses. The most important thing is that there is no tax of any kind on the salary or allowances received by MPs, that is, it is tax free. There are many types of allowances they receive, in which many facilities are also available for their family members.

The number of women MPs is going to increase in Parliament
Male and female MPs are given equal facilities and allowances. Now that the Women’s Reservation Bill has been approved on the first day of proceedings in the new Parliament House, the number of women MPs in both the Houses of Parliament will also increase. After this approval, the Women’s Reservation Bill will be presented in the Lok Sabha. It is noteworthy that in the Women’s Reservation Bill, there is a proposal to reserve 33 percent or one-third seats for women in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies.
