New Delhi. A total of 30 people have been arrested so far in the Haldwani Violence case. According to top police officers, 25 people have been arrested in the last 24 hours. Of these, 12 people have been arrested in the case of stone pelting at the police station, 6 people have been arrested in burning the police station vehicle and 7 people have been arrested in the FIR of the corporation. Police have recovered 7 country made pistols and 54 live cartridges from different places. During the attack on the police station, the miscreants had looted the government weapons, which have also been recovered by the police. Police have recovered 32 live cartridges of 7.62 and 9mm from these people.
According to a top police officer of Haldwani, some more weapons are yet to be recovered from them. One of these weapons was looted while setting the police vehicle on fire, it is yet to be recovered. Police said that the body of Akash, who died in the riot, was found 2-3 kilometers away from the incident site. This could be a case of mutual rivalry. Who killed him and why will be revealed after investigation. The police is also investigating the entire matter on the Rohingya angle.
Nainital SSP Prahlad Meena said in a press conference that so far three FIRs have been filed in the arson incident in Banbhulpura. These are being investigated separately. 7 pistols and live cartridges have been recovered from the arrested people. The police team is searching for Abdul Malik. He will also be arrested soon. Police said that these people were arrested from different locations. Curfew is currently imposed in the area where the incident took place.

He also made it clear that the ongoing campaign against encroachment in the state will continue. Later, during a public meeting at Lohaghat in Champawat, he said that no rioter who carried out the incident in Haldwani would be spared, no matter how influential he is.
