Harda Fire Blast: Ashish was the last support of the family, breathing stopped on the occasion of his birthday; Disabled father became emotional
Ashish Dixit, Narmadapuram. When Ashish was one month old, an accident left me bedridden. When he held my finger for the first time at the age of two months, I felt that now I had found support. He saw me sitting in a wheelchair since childhood. In very difficult times, he grew up. He became my support at the age of playing. He would run around and bring me things.
Father’s eyes filled with tears remembering his son
When he grew up, he started helping in going to and from the shop and sitting. That was my hope. Looking at him it seemed that one day everything would be fine. Those fingers holding my hand were gradually getting stronger when God snatched them away from me. Now on whose support will I live? Sanjay Rajput’s throat choked while talking about his son Ashish. Silence dominated the atmosphere. Ashish was cremated in a very sad atmosphere on Saturday in Shivpur village of Seoni Malwa.
Ashish had returned after seeing his father from the hospital.
When there was an explosion in the firecracker factory of Barkheda near Harda district in Madhya Pradesh on February 6, Ashish had just returned after seeing his father from the hospital. He was helping them off the scooter and onto the wheelchair when there was an explosion and stones started flying like missiles. A stone hit Ashish on his head and he jumped and fell on the ground. Sanjay also got hit by a stone in his hand. First both of them were admitted to a private hospital in Narmadapuram, but as the condition deteriorated, Ashish was taken to Bhopal AIIMS on Thursday night, where he died on Friday night.
13th dead in Harda firecracker factory explosion
This was the 13th death in the accident. The tears of the disabled father have not stopped since then. The family’s grief has been further increased by the fact that Ashish died on February 9, his birthday. Ashish, born on February 9, 2014, turned 10 years old on Friday itself. Sanjay is also feeling helpless because due to his poor financial condition, he had sent his elder son Ayush to live with his sister. He has been interacting with them only, whereas Ashish had been their support since the time he regained consciousness.
‘When I came in a wheelchair, he became my support’
Sanjay told that I was a driver. Ashish was born in February 2014 and in March 2014, my lower part of my body became paralyzed in an accident near Budni. Even though my body stopped supporting me in the eyes of others, Ashish had found me like this since childhood. I was his father like that. He was serious and understood the pain of the family and my problem. When I got tired sitting at the shop, Ashish would also take care of the shop. After the departure of our son, we are not able to understand what we will do now.
