Rain alert has been issued for 32 cities in Haryana. Rainfall reduced by 70% in September
Chandigarh Meteorological Department has predicted that there is a possibility of rain in Haryana on 17th and 18th September. After a break of three days, a phase of rain will start again. However, the monsoon has not been very kind so far in September. Since September 1 till now, 70% less rainfall than normal has been recorded in the state.
Highest rainfall in Mahendragarh in 24 hours
Mahendragarh received maximum rainfall in 24 hours in Haryana. 82.5MM rainfall was recorded here. After this, 58 mm rainfall has been recorded in Kurukshetra, 42.3 mm in Karnal, 39 in Ambala and more than 19 mm in Panchkula. Apart from this, waterlogging was seen at many places in Sonipat, Rohtak and Gurugram districts due to rain.
Highest temperature in Bhiwani, lowest in Karnal.
Talking about the temperature of the previous day, the highest temperature of the day in the state was recorded at 37.7 degrees in Bhiwani. Whereas the lowest minimum temperature was recorded in Karnal at 22.9 degrees Celsius. This is a decline of 2.9 degrees from normal.
Drought like conditions in 7 districts including Hisar
Due to lack of rain, the situation is worst in Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Kaithal, Sirsa, there was no rain here. There are two districts of the state where the situation remains normal. These include Faridabad and Gurugram districts.
