On January 4, 2017, Congress leader Raju Mishra and gangster Kukku Punjabi were standing and talking to each other near Kumbhari Health located in Damohanaka area under Kotwali police station. Raju Mishra and Kukku Punjabi were taken to the hospital in injured condition, where doctors checked them and declared them dead.

These accused got punishment
DPO Ajay Kumar Jain informed that after hearing the case, the court of Additional Sessions Judge Abhishek Saxena sentenced the accused Himanshu Batham, Rohit Rathore, Anurag Singh, Syed Saddam to life imprisonment twice under section 302, 120B and illegal possession of weapons. Has been punished with three years and fine for committing murder by using. Accused Vijay Yadav and two other accused had died during the trial. Apart from this, two accused have been acquitted due to lack of evidence.
