According to Accu Weather, it is expected to be cloudy and muggy with rain in the afternoon. There is a 67 percent chance of rain and drizzle in the evening.
The India vs Pakistan match will start at 3 PM local time and the forecast for the afternoon and evening in Pallekele does not look promising. Notably, the first match of Group B – Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka – was played at Pallekele on Thursday and there was no rain during the contest. There was a moment when the players left the field due to drizzle. However the match resumed immediately in which Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh.
