The former legend, who scored the highest 7805 runs in women’s ODIs, said there is a lot of potential for the development of cricket in the valley. He said that for the last 2-3 years the BCCI (Cricket Board of India) is making a lot of efforts to promote women’s sports and women players. The former India captain said that WIPL (Women’s Indian Premier League) has also been good this year and it is good for the development of the game. We are hopeful that in the next two to three years many players from the state will make a mark at the national level.
