The special session of Parliament will start from September 18 in the old building itself. Before that, on Sunday, Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar will hoist the national flag at the new Parliament House.

PM Narendra Modi can also be present in the ceremony. Earlier there was discussion that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to hoist the tricolor on the new Parliament on his birthday.

The tricolor has not been hoisted on the new building since its inauguration on May 28. According to the Lok Sabha Secretariat, the flag hoisting program will be held at Gajdwar.

Officials of the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry and CPWD have completed preparations for the program. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will also be present on this occasion.

The work will begin in the new Parliament building on Ganesh Chaturthi, i.e. 19th September (Tuesday).

Special session will run in the new Parliament from September 19
The special session of Parliament will begin in the old building from September 18. Its proceedings will be held in the new building of Parliament from September 19. The special session will conclude in the new Parliament itself on 22 September.

Keeping in mind the problems faced during the session, an extra control room has been created. Integrated Building Management System Control Room already exists in the new Parliament.

Congress President Kharge will not attend the flag hoisting
Mallikarjun Kharge has written a letter to Rajya Sabha General Secretary Pramod Modi saying that he will not be able to attend the flag hoisting program in the new Parliament on September 17. He wrote that he is in Hyderabad for the CWC meeting.

He had received the invitation for the Parliament program on the evening of 15 September, whereas this meeting was scheduled many days in advance. Therefore, it will not be possible for him to attend the function to be held on 17th September.

Officials will wear pink Nehru jackets in the new Parliament

​​​Parliament employees will wear new dress while going to the new Parliament building. Nehru jacket and khaki colored pants are included in this dress. According to the Lok Sabha Secretariat, bureaucrats will wear magenta or dark pink Nehru jackets instead of closed neck suits. His shirt will also be in dark pink color with a lotus flower design. The new Parliament will host speakers from G20 countries on 13-14 October. Parliament-20 meeting will be held here. Speakers of the Parliament of the invited countries will also participate in it. This will be the ninth meeting of the Parliament-20 group.
