NDTV won 12 awards in ENBA 2023.
NDTV epitomizes trust and its legacy of credibility has once again been recognized with 12 awards at the 15th edition of the Exchange4Media News Broadcasting Awards (ENBA) Awards.
These awards include Best News Coverage (English), Best Coverage by News Reporter (Hindi and English) and many more for social campaigns.
The most important award – Lifetime Achievement, has been given to Sonia Singh, Editorial Director of NDTV. In her over three decade-long association with NDTV, Sonia Singh has led the coverage, reporting and analysis of every major news event in India, from eight general elections to the Kargil War and many more. She is the anchor of the famous interview show ‘The NDTV Dialogues’, in which Indian and global contemporary challenges are discussed with thinkers from various fields.
Executive Editor and Principal Anchor Vishnu Som’s comprehensive and painstaking news coverage on war-torn Ukraine has won him the Best News Coverage (English) award.
NDTV’s Anurag Dwari’s scathing reporting on the outrage over the ‘bulldozer raj’ in Khargone and Sreeja MS’s bold reporting on the unrest in Sri Lanka, in which he was tear gassed several times, earned him the award of News Reporter (Hindi and English respectively) categories) has won the best coverage award.
Apart from this, NDTV’s social campaigns are also full of awards. The ‘NDTV Dettol Banega Swasth India’ campaign is now about to enter its historic 10th season. It won three awards for Best Campaign for Social Concern (English), Best Program on Social Issue (English) and Best Promo (English). ‘Banega Swasth India’ started in 2014 as a campaign to take forward the Swachh Bharat Mission and then became focused on spreading awareness about the importance of health for all.
Apart from this, NDTV’s initiative ‘Justice for Every Child’ along with Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation to build a child marriage free India also won three awards. The three awards won by this campaign include Best Talk Show (Hindi), Best Program on Social Issue (Hindi) and Best Campaign for Social Concern (Hindi).
‘Mesmerising Maharashtra’, a series showcasing the unknown travel destinations of Maharashtra, has won the award for Best Coverage on Travel (English). Harsh Davar has received his second consecutive award in the Best Video Editor category for this series.
