A newly married woman committed suicide in Gopalganj, Bihar. It is alleged that she took this step after being fed up with the harassment from her in-laws and her husband’s illicit relationship. The police reached the information and sent the body for post-mortem. A video of the woman before her suicide has also surfaced. On the complaint of her father, an FIR has been registered against five people including her husband.
The incident took place in Ahirwalia village of Manjha police station area. The newlywed’s father Ramayan Giri told that on June 7 this year, Kajal was married to Nand Kishore Giri of Satai village of Mirganj police station area. Everything was going well. Meanwhile, she came to know that her husband was having illicit relations with her elder brother’s sister-in-law. When he protested, he started being harassed. Not only this, an attempt to murder was also made.
Came to her parents’ home after being discharged from the hospital
The father said, the daughter was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. Then on Friday he got discharged from the hospital and brought him to his parents’ home. On Saturday he said goodbye to the world by hanging himself. A video of it surfaced on Sunday. In this she is pleading with the police and narrating her ordeal.

‘Save many daughters from dying like us’
In this she is saying, please police station sir, save many daughters from dying like us. My husband was in love with another girl. When he refused, he punished her severely. The girl has no one in her in-laws’ house. Otherwise these people would not have harassed so much. What happened to me should not happen in any daughter’s life. After saying these things, she committed suicide by making a noose with her scarf. After the video surfaced, the police is conducting raids to arrest the accused.
The Superintendent of Police said this in the matter
Superintendent of Police Swarn Prabhat said that a newly married woman has committed suicide. On the complaint of the father, an FIR has been registered against five people including the husband. Raids are going on to arrest the accused. No accused will be spared. Soon everyone will be arrested.
