PM holds Cabinet meeting amid special session of Parliament, work will begin in the new Parliament from tomorrow
New Delhi, PTI. The Union Cabinet met under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, the first day of the special session of Parliament. Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Piyush Goyal, Pralhad Joshi, S. were present in the meeting. Union ministers including Jaishankar, Nirmala Sitharaman, Dharmendra Pradhan, Nitin Gadkari and Arjun Ram Meghwal attended. This meeting lasted for about 90 minutes.
Discussion on Women’s Reservation Bill
According to news agency PTI, some important bills may be approved in the meeting. Information about the agenda of the cabinet meeting has not been officially given yet. But since it has been announced that a special session of Parliament will be held from 18-22 September, it is possible that the government may pass various bills including the Women’s Reservation Bill in this session.
