Rajasthan Elections: Date of assembly elections changed in Rajasthan, now voting will be held on 25th November instead of 23rd.
ANI/PTI, Jaipur. The Election Commission has changed the date of assembly elections to be held in Rajasthan on Wednesday. Earlier voting was to be held in Rajasthan on 23 November. However, counting of votes will take place only on December 3. In fact, various political parties and social organizations had written letters demanding the Election Commission to change the date of voting.
Why was the election date changed?
The Election Commission has changed the date of assembly elections in Rajasthan citing large-scale weddings and social programs. Now voting will be held in the state on 25th November instead of 23rd November.

The Election Commission said in a statement that the decision was taken after receiving large-scale applications from various parties and social organizations for change in the voting date. However, let us tell you that only the date of voting has changed in Rajasthan. Apart from this, there has been no change in the date of filing nomination, withdrawal of nomination and counting of votes.

It should be noted that the Election Commission had announced the assembly election schedule for Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram on Monday, but changed the date of elections to be held in Rajasthan on Wednesday.
