The weather system coming from the Bay of Bengal has created a flood-like situation in the districts of southern Rajasthan and adjoining Madhya Pradesh. Due to heavy rains, many places on Ratlam railway section were flooded. Trains passing through here have had to be cancelled. The routes of 7 trains going from Rajasthan to Mumbai have been changed or partially cancelled. Weather experts predict that this period of rain will continue in Rajasthan today. It will reduce from September 19 and the weather will start clearing.

If we look at the report of the last 24 hours, there was heavy rain at isolated places in Banswara, Dungarpur, Jalore, Sirohi, Pratapgarh and Udaipur districts. Between 300 to 400 mm of water has fallen in Danpur, Bagidaura, Sajjangarh, Shergarh of Banswara within two days. Flood like situations occurred in these areas. Due to increase in the water level of Mahi river in Banswara due to heavy rains, all 16 gates of Mahi Bajaj Sagar Dam built on it had to be opened and 4.91 lakh cusecs of water had to be released from here.
Here, due to heavy rains in Neemuch and Ratlam areas of Madhya Pradesh, the operation of trains stopped. The operation of about 7 trains passing through this route from different cities of Rajasthan to Mumbai was affected. Railways has to divert train number 22902 Udaipur-Bandra Terminus, train number 04711 Bikaner-Bandra Terminus, train number 12956 Jaipur-Mumbai Central, train number 22901 Bandra-Udaipur, train number 82654 Jaipur-Yesvantpur and train number 12996 Ajmer-Bandra. Had to drive. Apart from this, train number 04712, Bandra Terminus-Bikaner special train was cancelled.

The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain in Sirohi, Jalore area today. There was heavy rain in Mount Abu of Sirohi on Sunday afternoon. Up to 5 inches of rain was recorded here, after which waterfalls started flowing from the mountains. Here, in view of the alert of heavy rain, Jalore and Sanchore Collector declared holiday in schools here today. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for these two districts today.

The effect of this system will be seen in the south-western districts of Gujarat and Rajasthan till September 19.
The river water is flowing at high speed on the Lasada bridge connecting Dungarpur-Banswara. Police have been deployed near this culvert, so that no vehicle rider passes through here.
Monsoon season quota completed in Rajasthan
Due to good rains in September, the rain quota for this season has now been completed in the state. Rajasthan’s average rainfall from June 1 to September 30 (in monsoon season) is 436MM, but so far this season it has received 464.1MM of rain. Except Hanumangarh in western Rajasthan, the quota of rain has been completed in all the remaining 9 districts of the state. At the same time, out of 23 districts of Eastern Rajasthan, there are 8 such districts where the quota of monsoon season has not been completed till now.
Alert of heavy rain in these districts today
Director of Meteorological Center, Jaipur, Radheshyam Sharma said that the Well Mark low-pressure system is currently active over South Rajasthan and Gujarat. The monsoon trough line is currently passing through Jaisalmer, Sagar, Jamshedpur till the Bay of Bengal. Due to this system, there may be heavy rain at isolated places in Dungarpur, Udaipur, Sirohi, Jalore, Rajsamand, Pali and Barmer districts today. In view of this, orange alert has been issued for these districts. Heavy rain is expected in Barmer, Jalore and Sirohi on September 19.
