Manmohan Vaidya On SC ST Community: RSS Joint General Secretary Manmohan Vaidya has given a big statement regarding SC and ST community. He also expressed concern about Manipur Violence. Manmohan Vaidya was speaking in Pune, Maharashtra on Saturday (16 September).
Manmohan Vaidya said, “Our society has deprived the SC and ST community of respect, facilities and education for many years. Reservation is backed by the Constitution to bring them together, they should get it.” According to news agency ANI, he said that the demands for other reservations are political so we did not discuss it.
RSS coordination committee meeting in Pune
A three-day meeting of the coordination committee of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) started from Thursday in Pune, Maharashtra, in which representatives of organizations associated with the Sangh participated. During this, issues like current social and national scenario, national security, education, national service, economy and maintaining social harmony were discussed.
What did Manmohan Vaidya say on Manipur violence?
Joint General Secretary of RSS also reacted regarding Manipur violence. He said, “The situation in Manipur is worrying. Our workers have informed us about it, but mainly the decision has to be taken by the government. There is a conflict between the Meitai and Kuki communities. Our volunteers are in touch with people from both the communities. .”
Violence started in Manipur on 3 May
It is noteworthy that violence started in Manipur on May 3. According to news agency PTI, police said that so far 175 people have died in the violence, while 1108 people have been injured and 32 people are missing. The violence broke out after a tribal solidarity march was organized in protest against the Meitai community’s demand for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status.
