Lucknow, February 2 (Language) The budget session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature started in a stormy manner on Friday and on the first day, while slogans of Jai Shri Ram from the ruling party members were heard in the House, the opposition members raised slogans against the government. On Friday, after the national anthem in the ‘Pandav’ of the Assembly, when Governor Anandiben Patel started addressing the members of both the Houses together, members of the state’s main opposition party Samajwadi Party (SP) came to the seats of the House and raised slogans against the government. On Friday, MLAs were seen wearing different colored gamchas in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly. Most of the BJP MLAs were wearing saffron colored ‘Ramnami’ gamchha, while the SP MLAs were seen wearing red cap and red gamchha. Members of Rashtriya Lok Dal were seen wearing green colored gamcha. While members of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (Subhaspa) were seen wearing yellow colored gamcha.
The effect of the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla’s life was also seen on the first day of the Legislative session in Ayodhya on 22 January. Especially members of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) were seen in ‘Ram Rang’.
Most of the BJP Legislative Council members had reached the ‘Mandap’ (where the session is held) of the Assembly at around 10 am and they were welcoming every incoming member with slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
Members of the Legislative Council were present in the Assembly at the time of the Governor’s address.
Before the Governor reached the House, Deputy Chief Ministers Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak were seen greeting the members with slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
Before coming to the House, many prominent people including Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana welcomed Governor Anandiben Patel and brought her with them to the Assembly Pavilion.
