Jammu: A few days after the announcement by Union Minister Jitendra Singh, on Saturday, Udhampur railway station was formally named as Martyr Captain Tushar Mahajan Railway Station. Northern Railway on Saturday issued the notification of change of name in honor of the brave army soldier after the approval of Jammu and Kashmir administration.
According to news agency ANI, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that ‘these are the people who always need to be remembered.’ On Saturday, he paid tribute to Captain Tushar Mahajan and unveiled the renaming of the station at Udhampur. He appreciated the trend of naming public places after soldiers and said that this is a historic moment in the history of Udhampur.

Who was Tushar Mahajan?
